If you're seeking a professionally recognised qualification in hypnotherapy, one that equips you with confidence, credibility, and the ability to practise ethically and effectively, our Diploma in Hypno-Psychotherapy offers a truly comprehensive path.​Delivered by PSI Training, this course includes over 450 hours of study, combining 120 hours of live classroom instruction with structured home study, therapy practice, assignments, and casework. Our diploma leads to full Practitioner status, not just affiliate recognition. Graduates are eligible for:

  • Registration with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

  • The General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP), awarded by the GHSC​

 

This course exceeds the minimum training hours required for full professional registration, unlike shorter diplomas that may not qualify for GHR inclusion.

Integrative,
Supportive Learning

You’ll experience a rich blend of lectures, demonstrations, and participatory exercises across 20 taught days. Formats include:

  • Ten weekends

  • Six weekends plus two extended 4-day modules (Friday–Monday)

  • Weekday intensives (available on request)​

 

Student progress is individually monitored, with tutors offering personalised feedback and support throughout.

Structured
Home Study

Home study is a vital part of the course and includes:

  • Reading assignments and set texts

  • Self-study modules in Introductory Physiology and Basic Psychology

  • Written exercises, reflective tasks, and casework

 

All materials and requirements will be outlined prior to commencement of the course.

Assessment
& Certification

To qualify, students must complete:

  • Three written case histories

  • A specimen piece of practical work

  • A one-hour written examination

 

Assessments meet NVQ standards. Re-sits are available if needed, and full feedback is provided. An external assessor may be present.

Professional Practice
& Ethics

Graduates intending to practise must:

  • Join a recognised professional association

  • Hold appropriate insurance

  • Adhere to a professional code of ethics

 

GHR Registered Practitioners must engage in supervision (individual or group) for a minimum of two hours every three months during their first two years. Ongoing supervision is strongly recommended. Non-compliance may result in withdrawal of the qualification.

Continued Growth
& CPD

Qualified practitioners are encouraged to attend our or equivalent Advanced Workshops, which offer CPD-accredited training in specialist areas. These sessions support continued development, deeper insight, and enhanced therapeutic skill.
