This training provides a comprehensive, trauma‑informed framework for understanding and working with trauma and PTSD. You’ll explore how trauma affects the brain, body and behaviour, how to stabilise clients safely, and how to use hypnotherapeutic approaches that support recovery, integration and resilience.

Key definitions, diagnostic language, trauma classifications, and how trauma and PTSD are conceptualised within psychological and clinical frameworks.

Single‑incident trauma, complex trauma, developmental trauma, cumulative trauma, and the full range of PTSD symptom clusters.

Symptomology and severity
How trauma affects the nervous system, memory, sleep, cognition, mood and behaviour; understanding hyperarousal, hypoarousal, avoidance, intrusive symptoms and dissociative subtypes.

Related or overlapping conditions
Conditions that may mimic or coexist with trauma, including anxiety disorders, depression, dissociation, personality adaptations, chronic stress responses and somatic presentations.
